When you arrive at the hotel

From the moment you and your guests arrive our friendly, helpful staff will be on hand to make sure that everything runs smoothly and according to plan. You will be met by our staff who will ensure that the whole day is memorable and complete in every way. Our spacious and light banqueting suites with their high ceilings, chandeliers and sweeping sea views add splendour and magic to your special day.

Sequence of events

Weddings at the Park Hotel have a flavour of their own.

On arrival the bride and groom are met with a flute of champagne and mingle soaking up the occasion's atmosphere.

Tradition is most important at the Park Hotel.

After the line up, the events manager will announce the bride and groom into the breakfast reception.

The wedding party sit down to lavishly prepared cuisine.

After the meal and speeches, guests are invited to retire to our lounge area while the room is set for the evening entertainment.

From the very first words spoken during the speeches to the opening notes of your first dance, the crystal clear sound system at The Park Hotel will make sure that every word that is spoken and every note that is played is heard by your guests.

Use your own MP3 player and simply plug it in to our system or use one of our brilliant DJs to get your evening celebrations started.

Our intelligent lighting system will add a touch of magic to your event as we pick out the colours you have chosen for your big day in lights.

The Longsands Room and Bar

Celebrate your wedding with the beautiful backdrop of the coastline above Longsands Beach. The Longsands Room comes with complimentary use of our red carpet reception and bar area.

If you are looking for a small and intimate venue to celebrate your big day then choose from The Rotary Lounge and Cocktail Bar, The Collingwood Suite or The Hotel Restaurant at The Park Hotel. Our mobile sound system can be used in any of our function rooms.

Wedding Catering

The chefs at The Park Hotel can cater for events of any size, whether you want a buffet meal or an evening banquet. Choose from the à la carte menu or from our range of set menus. Details are available upon request.

The rooms at The Park Hotel have been decorated in a variety of styles in keeping with our Art Deco heritage. From the luxury of our romantic Honeymoon Suite with its jacuzzi for two, to our basic accommodation for wedding guests who are keeping to a budget, we have rooms to suit everyone.

Every room at The Park Hotel has an en-suite bathroom and comes equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a multi-channel television, a hairdryer and a telephone.

The Park Hotel has a ramp to allow easy access for wheelchairs, prams and pushchairs.

The Honeymoon Suite

Escape to our romantic Honeymoon Suite at the end of your big day. Relax in the magnificent jacuzzi, complete with its underwater lighting and music. Take in the views of the coast from the wide bay windows and enjoy the spacious luxury and privacy of this beautiful and opulent suite. Our standard rooms are available in a variety of decorative styles and layouts. Many of the standard rooms in the original wing of the hotel benefit from raised seating areas that give guests beautiful views of the coast. All our standard rooms have a full or partial sea view.

Bedrooms with wheelchair access are located along the ground floor of the hotel and offer guests a choice of en-suite bathrooms or fully tiled wet rooms.

The Rotary lounge

The Rotary Lounge at The Park Hotel is an elegant function room.

The Collingwood Suite

The Collingwood Suite is a versatile function room in the centre of The Park Hotel that can easily be extended to accommodate larger wedding parties.

It has a private bar and small stage area, as well as a dance floor and our mobile sound system can be used to get your party started in the evening.

The location of The Collingwood Suite means that is very quiet and it offers a private and secluded place for your celebrations.

The Longsands Room

The Longsands Room at The Park Hotel offers you a beautiful venue with a romantic coastal backdrop for your wedding day.

The spacious room is flooded with natural light from the coast and gives spectacular views of the sea.

With a mobile sound system and dance floor, The Longsands Room is a stunning choice for large wedding celebrations.

The Ballroom

The Ballroom at The Park Hotel offers you a venue with real old school glamour. It can hold up to 2,000 people and has a spectacular intelligent lighting system that can be programmed to match your chosen wedding colours.

Get your party started with our superb sound system and dance the night away in comfort on our sprung dance floor. We can even add strobe lighting to give your celebrations the feel of an exclusive nightclub.

The Hotel Restaurant

Situated in the original wing of the hotel, The Hotel Restaurant offers you and your wedding guests sweeping views of the coast and the pretty seaside village of Tynemouth.

Hotel residents are invited to enjoy the 24-hour license at The Park Hotel.

A full English breakfast is served in The Hotel Restaurant from 7:30am.
